The Night Witches (2018)

The Night Witches (world premiere), by Rachel Bublitz, Summer 2018

The Night Witches flew in planes made of canvas and wood, and dropped their bombs on their Nazi enemy every fifteen minutes through the night to keep them from sleeping. They were also the first women to ever fly in combat, some as young as 14. This was the second show we commissioned from our now Resident Playwright, Rachel Bublitz. It was performed by an all-female teen cast, performed at the Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival, taking home the honors of the Audience Choice Award and most attended show of that year’s festival.
